It isn't normal to say yes to a complete stranger, just at all.
For example:
Do you live here?
Can I have your phone number?
Would you like to walk down a dark alley way over there with me?
Just as a general rule saying no to strangers is safer.
So.. when this guy asked this girl to be his girlfriend, and she had the thought "I don't really know this guy" that should of been a clue as to what her answer should of been.
However, she said yes.
